“I just want to give you some feedback.”
Do these eight little words fill you with mild anxiety, or do you relish the opportunity for improvement without a worry?
If it’s the former, you are not alone. When someone uses the F-word, we brace for criticism (constructive or otherwise), which is sometimes difficult to take with a smile.
However, as business people, we need to have a system to capture feedback from employees and customers – especially in the latter part of 2021.
The business landscape has changed. Our teams and customers have changed, and feedback is one of the best ways to work out where our organisation fits into this brave new world.
